Our e-mail client stopped communicating with your e-mail server. You tested the server, and it seemed fine. Is there some test I can run on my end to tell why and where the ports are blocked?

well Dave, chances are that there is a problem on your end. Not sure about the tests you speak of, but things you could look at are:
- Do you have a virus? Viruses are known to try and shut down proper communication so they can carry out their evil deeds.
- Is there some kind of firewall software that you are running or is there a firewall either in your shop or in the building that you are in that has some wierd settings?

Hi Jon;
I actually asked the question in person yesterday, and was writing to tell you that your answer worked. Mom had accidentally smashed my favorite CD, and I was trying to recover it. She had downloaded it onto her IPOD, and I recorded it back onto my laptop from there, but IPOD’s put their stuff in MP-4 format, and my MP-3 player couldn’t read it. You gave me a website that had a link to some software that converted the MP-4 into WAV and MP-3’s, it was unbelievably easy to use, and it worked perfectly. I’m now listening to my favorite CD again. Thanks. Your father must have passed on some incredible genes to you for you to be so smart.
